10th Grade Humanities Washington, D.C. Trip May 17th – 19th 2017
The 10th grade will participate in their annual Washington DC trip on May 17th through 19th. This is a great opportunity to see how policy is created around issues your children are passionate about. The DC trip is directly tied to students Cycle 4 Humanities project, so your child’s attendance is mandatory. Students will meet with members of Congress and nonprofit organizations to deeper understand their cycle four topics and gain knowledge of how to create their own nonprofit organization and how to affect policy change. Students will also visit the museums on the mall, attend a guided night tour of the monuments, tour The Capitol, (possibly) tour the White House, go to the Pentagon City Mall. This is a great 10th grade tradition.
Please sign and return the permission slip. Download it HERE.
It is vital that 10th grade families make payment for the costs of the transportation, lodging, and incidentals as soon as possible so that we can make deadlines for paying these costs in advance of the trip.
We recommend that you use the Paypal buttons below to assist you in paying these costs. After selecting the appropriate button you will be guided to a Paypal page where you can either sign in to use a Paypal account or select a credit card payment option. If you have some personal objection to online financial transactions or Paypal in particular, you may provide any 10th grade adviser with a check made out to "ICE Foundation" with DC Trip and your child's name on the Memo line.
To make payment by check, make checks payable to ICE Foundation and mail checks to:
