All School Skating Trip on Monday December 22nd, 2025

Dear families,

On Monday December 22nd, the entire school will go on an ICE skating trip to LeFrak Center in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

This is a trip we take each year, and we are excited to spend the day having fun as a whole school community!

We will depart by grade beginning at 8:30 am. Students should go to their ADVISORY ROOM in the morning and they will depart from there, based on their grade. Chaperones will walk students to Union Square. We will take the subway (Q) to Prospect Park station and then walk to the rink at 171 East Drive.

Middle school students: Our skating time ends at 12 pm and we will depart by grade. Middle school students MUST return to school, unless they are picked up from the rink by a parent. Students must be picked up no later than 11:50 am. Middle school students will have a lunch period when they return to school and they will be dismissed from school at the regular dismissal time; they may also stay for after school (SONYC) if they would like.

High school students: Our skating time ends at 12:30 pm. High school students will be dismissed at the rink by 1 pm.

On the day of the trip, all students should:

  • Bring snacks or money to purchase food at the rink (OPTIONAL). Middle school students will have a lunch period when they return to school.

  • Wear clothing appropriate for skating outdoors

  • The trip costs $20
