PBAT Presentations Need Volunteers

Please join us for our third annual 8th grade PBAT presentations in the middle of June. Our 8th graders will be presenting one project they have completed in humanities, math, science and Spanish class and we need parents, teachers and friends to come and be evaluators! Below is the schedule for the presentations. Please come to one presentation, all, or anywhere in between.

  • Tuesday, June 14th: Math
  • Wednesday, June 15th: Science
  • Thursday, June 16th: Spanish
  • Friday, June 17th: Humanities

Every evaluator will sit on three panels each morning; panels last 15 - 20 minutes each.  There will be an ICE teacher on each panel.  Every panel has a component where the students present a project from this year and engage in a conversation with the evaluators.

Evaluators should show up at ICE at 8:15 am on the 5th floor on the 15th street side of the building. You will receive instructions and rubrics when you arrive (you will also be emailed more detailed instructions after you sign up).  Panels will be finished by 9:30 am each day. ABSOLUTELY NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF CONTENT OR OUR PBAT PROCESS AT ICE IS NEEDED TO BE AN EVALUATOR!

To sign up, please click the link 8th Grade PBAT Presentations and enter your name, email address, and relationship to ICE.  Use the tabs at the bottom to sign up for the appropriate panel, but again, signing up for all or some of the panels is encouraged.

Please come and see the work our 8th graders have completed and the concepts they have mastered this year. We need at least 30 evaluators to sign up for each day. Thanks in advance for helping to make the third year of these panels extremely meaningful for the students.

Email Mark Mazzone at mdmazzone@gmail.com or Kristen Bonnici at kristen.bonnici@gmail.com with any questions. And forward this to anyone you know who may be interested.

Thanks again to all and hope to see you there,

ICE 8th Grade Team
